Saturday, May 17 6th Annual New Year's Rockport Eve Clam Chowdah Fest 12 – 2:00pm
Harvey Park (corner of Broadway & Mt. Pleasant St.) The Rockport Restaurants will compete for the best Clam Chowdah in Rockport from 12 noon to 2pm. A $5 ballot will be sold for all to sample and vote on the best Clam Chowdah in Rockport . From 11am through 4pm Strawberry shortcakes, drinks and popcorn, and N.Y.R .E souvenirs will also be sold. Games, clowns, face painting, sale of balloons will be taking place in Harvey Park along with live entertainment. Scheduled entertainment for Saturday 11am - 1pm Beatle Tracks - a Beatles tribute band which is committed to performing the authentic sounding music of the Beatles live in concert. 1 - 2pm *Michael O'Leary with David de la Barre & the Stroms* - Traditional Celtic Music. 2 - 3pm - Rockport American Legion Band - traditional small town bandstand music. Don't go home yet: 3 - 4pm Terrestrials - Contemporary wide-ranging repertoire of folk/pop songs to rock gems with some of their own original tunes. Featuring brother & sister Will & Kitty Hunt, Janice Fullman and Fud Marro on his Gibson EB3 bass.

Dress up your dog and enter our fun parade in downtown Rockport. Registration Good Dog Gallery, 36 Bearskin Neck, $10.00 registration [benefit Cape Ann Animal Aid]. Register early 978-546-1364 or at 1:00 pm on the day of the parade. Prizes for Best / Funniest include Lynn Holoway Pet Portrait ($250.00 value). Other prizes include gift certificates for Happy Tails Pet Supply, Top Dog, Gift Bags, etc. Everyone takes home a photo of their dog! Treats for all!!!
