Dora Tevan, Rockport puppeteer, from the Ethnic Arts Center, will present "HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS". This event is intended to precede the coming of Santa by boat on the nearby Tune Wharf at 4:00pm.
The hour-long program includes:
SHOEMAKER AND THE ELVES-Puppet Show
DANCE OF THE SUGARPLUM FAIRIES from the Nutcracker Suite, a children's participatory pantomime
T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS-Puppet Show
PARTICIPATORY CHRISTMAS SONG-DANCES: Christmas is Coming!, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,
Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Silent Night, and Jingle Bells.
This event is a benefit for Rockport New Year's Eve 2009. A donation of $4 per person (all ages, 0 through adult)
or $12 maximum per family is requested. Please bring exact change. Floor seating will begin at 2:15pm.
Lap seating for children 2 and under. No food allowed.
